Education and Early Life

Abhishek’s educational journey was a global one. He studied at prestigious institutions like the Bombay Scottish School, Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai, and Modern School in ( Vasant Vihar ) New Delhi. His international education continued at Aiglon College in Switzerland, from there he moved to Boston University to study Arts. However, but he dropped out of college and did not obtain his degree. Despite battling dyslexia as a child, Abhishek’s determination led him back to India to chase his dreams.

His grandmother, Teji Bachchan, was a social reformer. Abhishek also has a sister, Shweta Bachchan who is married to Nikhil Nanda. Bachchan has Bengali ancestry on his mother’s side and is of Awadhi and Punjabi lineage on his father’s side.

His maternal grandfather was Taroon Kumar Bhaduri, a well-known writer and poet.

In the world of romance, Abhishek’s journey had its twists. Abhishek and actress Karishma Kapoor announced their engagement in October 2002 during the 60th birthday party for his father, Amitabh Bachchan.

Acting career

Abhishek Bachchan’s entry into Bollywood occurred as male lead in 2000 with JP Dutta’s war drama film “Refugee.” His performances were praised by critics, including Taran Adarsh who called him a competent actor. Bachchan’s subsequent films, such as Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon and Yuva, were less successful but earned him nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. He later established himself in Hindi cinema with Dhoom (2004), playing a Mumbai police officer.

In 2005, he released Bunty Aur Babli, a crime comedy that became the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year.
