London, August 27 – British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has revealed a proposal for stringent new legislation that would ensure individuals found guilty of grievous murders will be sentenced to lifelong imprisonment without any possibility of parole or early release.
In a statement released on Saturday, the 43-year-old British Indian leader asserted that the phrase “life means life,” and judges would be mandated to issue compulsory whole-life orders for offenders involved in the most heinous forms of murder.
Under the proposed new law, judges will be legally obliged to impose whole-life orders, except under exceedingly rare circumstances.
